UC Online’s Master of Education in Special Education is the perfect fit for students enthusiastic about working with people of determination. This 100% online program prepares students to have an ecologically-based service delivery to enhance and better the lives of individuals with disabilities.
By graduation, students will be able to provide services in the field of special education including K-12 education, rehabilitation for occupational development and daily independence, community-based case management, and various other services related to individuals with disabilities and their families.
UC Online’s Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) Graduate Certificate offers a program open to individuals with a bachelor’s degree in an education-related field. Though this certificate compliments UC Online’s Master of Education in Special Education, a special education background is not required. In fact, the program is designed for not only professionals (special education teachers, general education teachers, school psychologists, speech-language pathologists, paraeducators/class support staff) but also family members of individuals with ASD.
UC Online’s Special Education Leadership Graduate Certificate provides current and future administrators with a skill set to lead inclusive schools and address the educational needs of students with disabilities. This certificate is a collaboration between Special Education and Educational Leadership programs, providing school administrators with foundational knowledge as they pursue excellence in research, teaching, and service that addresses real-world challenges and opportunities that create positive change in an inclusive environment for students with disabilities.
UC Online’s Transition to Work Endorsement is focused on providing preservice and in-service professionals with knowledge, skills, and experience in special education in order to improve learning outcomes and quality of life for children with disabilities. The Transition to Work Endorsement program is designed to increase the transition-related knowledge and skills of the various individuals involved in the transition process.
UC Online’s K-12 Intervention Specialist – Mild/Moderate Licensure is a non-degree program designed for individuals holding an initial teaching license from the state of Ohio that would like to obtain a license to teach in the field of special education.
